id="textpreview_title"> Every woman wants to look absolutely fabulous when leaving the house. We all look at our favorite magazines and the most glamorous fashion models and we try to focus on looking just as great as they do. However, many of us feel trapped because the economy is the way it is. Going to the salon or spa every week is out of the question for most of us. The good news is, you no longer have to spend big bucks to look like a glamor model. Bellow are 5 tips to help keep you looking and feeling great with beautiful, soft, and glowing skin. Follow these beauty tips on a budget and you will be red carpet gorgeous for a price you can afford.

Forget all those high dollar moisturizers – Apply Vaseline to your elbows, knees, and feet once a week. Cover your feet with good fitting socks and sleep with it at night. In the morning your skin is sure to feel soft and well moisturized.

Help fight the appearance of nasty blackheads – Try mixing up equal parts of plain oatmeal with honey and stir to make up a paste. Use this paste as a face scrub and you will zap those zits before they start and have a beautiful and flawless complexion.

Get rid of puffy eyes – Slice a raw potato and put them on your eyelids to reduce the redness and puffiness. Lay down and rest for about 20 minutes and when you get up, bye bye bags.

Avoid those yellowish stained fingernails – Take a freshly cut lemon and scrub it over your fingernails to buff away those yucky yellow stains. You can also make a soak by mixing 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and about 2 tablespoons of warm water. Allow your your nails to soak in the mixture for about 15 minutes and then rinse your hands well. Be sure to use a good moisturizer afterwards as the lemon juice can dry your hands. Remember the Vaseline trick in tip 1 if needed.

Make your own sugar body scrub - You can save a ton of money on all those fancy high dollar body scrubs and simply make your own. To do this mix up a 1/2 cup of sugar and a 1/4 cup of oil. Use this in the shower to exfoliate dry dead skin. It works just as well as some of those expensive sugar scrubs you see in the stores.

A woman should always walk tall with confidence because confidence is beautiful. We may be forced to cut back on what we spend, but this doesn’t have to mean we can’t take care of ourselves. Walk tall and stand proud, ladies. We may be put on a tight budget, but we are females after all and when it comes to our beauty, we will make it happen.

Related Health Blog posts:

<a

Keeping your body hydrated is the most important tip. Our bodies require 8 to 10, 8 ounce glasses of fluid a day.

Water is best, but tea, fruit juice and other beverages help, and try to stay away from caffeine. Proper hydration will keep your skin from drying out, from the inside out, and will slow down the onset of lines, creases and wrinkles.

Maintain a healthy weight and try not to yo-yo diet. Try to get some exercise each and every day.

Moisturizing your face with a face cream that is suitable for your skin type is a must. Apply and rub gently before putting any makeup on.

Skin under your eyes is sensitive and thinner than the rest of your facial skin, so use a special eye moisturizer both day and night. Moisturizing your arms, legs, hands and feet as well.

More Beauty Tips for Those Over 30

Make up: Using makeup lightly to highlight your facial qualities will enhance your looks and you will look and feel your best. Never put on too much makeup, as clumping of matte foundations will hide in any small lines or wrinkles and cause you to look far beyond your age. Look around and see what others are wearing and how they look.

Nightly preparation: Never retire for the night without cleansing your face. Remove all makeup with a cleansing cream and rinse thoroughly. Moisturize your face and neck with a reputable night cream, and in the morning you will feel refreshed and your face will look rested and smooth.

Stay out of the sun’s rays. This is important not only for your face, but your whole body. Ultraviolet rays can damage your skin and cause premature aging, and can cause unsightly spots to appear on your skin, and skin cancer. Always put on a high range skin protection cream, enjoy the outdoors, but avoid direct sunlight at long periods of time.

Dress appropriately for your age. This does not mean you can’t wear the fun clothes of your youth, but neither do you want to appear ridiculous at 35, looking like a 15 year old. As a woman rises in age, what she wears becomes more important than when she was a teenager. Wear colors that go well with your skin tones, try to be neat at all times, look your best, and you will look as young as you feel.

Maintain healthy hair. Your hair changes as you age, sometimes prematurely going white, or darkening, when you used to have light hair. Hair colors are available and try to keep up with today’s hair styles. Remember, as you age, you start to develop small lines, and wrinkles. Hair that is dyed darker than your natural hair color will accentuate any lines and wrinkles you may have. If you wish to change your hair color consult with a hair stylist at your salon.

Diet, hydration, watching your weight, maintaining your hair, clothing and proper makeup are all important in maintaining a healthy youthful appearance, no matter what age you are.

Have some other beauty tips for those over 30? Getting your cosmetology license requires a lot of research and just over a year of your time. The three major steps to becoming licensed are: researching cosmetology schools, attending school and passing the state board cosmetology test.

<span

First, you must choose a school that offers the type of education you want. There are many school available, but the quality of education varies from school to school. The quality of the school is usually reflected in the cost of tuition.

While you can become license through any accredited cosmetology school, it will be much more difficult for you to pass you state board test if the school of your choice lacks a quality education course.

Also, you must consider the class schedule the school offers. Many schools only offer one class schedule, which can be difficult for some people. Make sure you look into a school which offer alternative class schedules.

After you have chosen the cosmetology school which will work best for you, you then have to complete the course. In most cases, if you attend school full time, you will complete the program within 12 months. Although it varies from state to state, you will be required to attend school between 1300 and 2000 hours.

After you have completed the required amount of hours, you will then be required to take a final test to graduate cosmetology school. Passing this test will assure that you are ready to take the state regulated cosmetology test.

<img

If you have graduated cosmetology school, you will also be prepared to pass the state board test. This test will be given in two different portions.

The first portion is a written portion. This will test your knowledge of technical information pertaining to cosmetology. The second portion will be a hands on test, which will test your skills in the field of cosmetology. After you have passed and completed both portions of this test, you will then become a licensed cosmetologist.

Although the process of becoming a licensed cosmetologist can take some time. If you are passionate about your studies, the experience will be rewarding, fun and lead to a fulfilling career in the field of cosmetology.

Related Health Blog posts:

Once you have decided to attend cosmetology school, you then have to task of finding a way to pay for school. Cosmetology school can cost anywhere from $5,000-$30,000, depending on the school you choose to attend. Fortunately, there are many different options available to help you pay for your cosmetology degree. When applying for financial aid, keep in mind the following different options available to you.

Pell Grants

Pell Grants are government grants which essentially give you money to attend school. These grants do not have to be repaid. Although this is the most desirable options for paying tuition, it is also the most difficult to qualify for. To qualify for this grant, you must meet the income requirement and be enrolled as a full time student.

Stafford Loan

The Stafford loan is a great way to fund your education. Although you will be required to repay this loan after the completion of your degree, it is available to nearly everyone who wishes to further their education. The amount of money you qualify for will be based on a number of things including your income, your parents income and your status as a full time or part time student.

Parent Plus Loan

The Parent Plus Loan is a great option for younger students. The following are requirements you will need to meet to graduate from cosmetology school.

Obtain the amount of required hours

This requirement varies from state to state, but most state require that you complete between 1500 and 2000 hour in cosmetology school to graduate.

Pass your written and practical test given by your cosmetology school

After you complete your hours in cosmetology school, you will be tested the information you learned throughout school. The test you will be given will be in two parts. The first part is a written exam, testing your cosmetology theory knowledge. The second part will be a practical exam, testing your physical cosmetology skills. To graduate, you must pass both.

Once you have met these requirements, you will be ready to move on to step two: passing the cosmetology state board test. This test is given and regulated by the state, and is similar to the test you have to take to graduate cosmetology school. Like your cosmetology school exam, the state board test will have two different portions: a written portion and a practical portion.

The written portion of the exam will be taken directly from the information you learned in your cosmetology theory class and from your cosmetology book. This exam will focus on information pertaining to infectious disease, client safety and technical cosmetology knowledge.

After you pass the written test, you will be able to take cosmetology state board practical exam. This exam focuses on the following subjects: client safety, hair cutting and styling and hair chemical services. Do not overlook the importance of client safety during this exam. Much of your grade for the practical exam is based upon using the proper client safety procedures.

After completing these two steps, you will a licensed cosmetologist and ready to start your career in the exciting field of cosmetology.

Related Health Blog posts:

<a

The written test will test your knowledge of cosmetologist and the practical will test your physical cosmetology skills.

Before you take your cosmetology state board practical test, you must first pass your written knowledge test. If you attended your theory classes throughout cosmetology school, you should be prepared with the knowledge to pass the state board written test.

The cosmetology state board written test usually consists of 100 questions, but this will vary from state to state. All of the questions on the test will be taken directly from state approved cosmetology text books. Also, if you took and passed your cosmetology school written test, you should not have to worry about passing the cosmetology state board test because questions from this test will be variations questions from your cosmetology school test.

After you pass your cosmetology state board test, you will have to take the practical portion of the exam. The practical portion focuses on the following three topics:

Hair cutting and styling

You will need to know your basic hair cuts, heat styling and wet styling.

Chemical services

For this portion of the test, you will need to review hair coloring, bleaching, relaxing and perming.

Client safety procedures

Examiners will be closely watching you to see if you practice proper client safety and infection control procedures.

If you focus on this information and review the information you learned throughout cosmetology school, you will be able to pass your cosmetology state board test with ease and start your career as a cosmetologist.

Related Health Blog posts:

<a

After you find the school that you would like to attend. You must complete the curriculum the school requires to graduate. Cosmetology school graduation requirements vary from state to state, but all states require that you complete a certain number of hours in cosmetology school classes to graduate. Most states require between 1500-2000 hours in school to graduate.

Within the required hours in cosmetology school, you will be required to spend 200-300 hours learning health and safety information pertaining to the field of cosmetology. Within these classes you will learn about client safety, infectious diseases and the technical abilities of your trade. You will be tested on this knowledge when you complete the required hours of cosmetology school . You will need to pass this test to graduate school and obtain your cosmetology license.

After you pass the required tests given by your cosmetology school, you will be required to pass a test regulated by the state in which you attended cosmetology school. This exam, call the cosmetology state board test, has two different portions: written and practical.

The written portion of this exam will be similar to the exam you are given in cosmetology school. You will need to review your hair cutting, hair chemical services, and hair styling skills to pass this test. Also, you will be tested on your client safety procedures.

With your passion for cosmetology and this information in mind, you should be prepared with the knowledge to become a licensed cosmetologist and start your career in the field of cosmetology.

Related Health Blog posts:

1.Wear Sunscreen

I know, we have all heard this for years, but do we really understand the importance of wearing sunscreen? The sun causes wrinkles, unwanted freckles, sunspots and uneven skin tone! Not to mention, it is the leading cause of skin cancer. Wearing sunscreen is the single most important factor to keeping your skin youthful and beautiful.

When applying and choosing your sunscreen keep the following in mind:

Always choose a broad spectrum sunscreen. This will protect you from all the suns rays, UVA and UVB.

For prolonged sun exposure, it is important to choose a sunscreen which is SPF 30 or higher. Typically, anything under SPF 30 will not protect your skin for longer than 4 hours.

Remember to apply your sunscreen 30 minutes before sun exposure. For continued protection, your should reapply your sunscreen every 2 hours.

2. type="DISC">
Hair conditioning treatment

Olive oil makes and excellent hair conditioning treatment. It will add shine and moisture to your hair without weighing it down like traditional hair conditioning treatments. To try this, take a small amount of olive oil and rub it into your scalp. From there, work it through the ends of your hair, then cover your hair with a plastic bag or towel. Leave the oil on for 15-20 minutes. For added benefits, sit in the sun or use a blow dryer to open the cuticle of your hair, allowing the oil to penetrate deeper into your hair.

Treatment for brittle nails and dry cuticles

You can replace all of your nail care products with olive oil. Olive oil makes an excellent nail strengthener and also, will repair dry, cracked cuticles. To use olive oil for this purpose simply pour a couple teaspoons into a nail soaking tray and immerse your fingertips in the oil for 5-10 minutes. You can do this daily or weekly depending on the results you wish to see.

Skin moisturizer

Olive oil makes and excellent replacement for lotion. Most lotions contain numerous different chemical and preservatives. Olive oil will moisturize your skin just as well, if not better than these lotions. Olive oil has also been proven to increase elasticity in skin, reduce the appearance of stretch marks and improve skin tone and texture.

It is important to remember that there are different types of olive oil. When using olive oil for beauty care, it is important to purchase an organic, extra virgin olive oil. Also, you want to look for an olive oil that is cold pressed. Some olive oils are prepared by heat. This decreased the amount of nutrients in the oil olive, thus decreasing the health benefits of it.

Related Health Blog posts:

<a
