As a college student, balancing health and wellbeing with social commitments is difficult and can lead to health problems. However, by following these simple health tips you can effectively avoid these problems and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Keep fit & Stay Active
Keeping fit at college doesn’t mean becoming a body builder or an Olympic athlete, it simply means maintaining a healthy fitness level. As little as eating a balanced diet and regularly walking can be enough to keep you feeling fresh and healthy.

Drink lots of water during the day
Although the realms of academia do not require much physical exertion, the brain still uses a lot of water and so it is essential to keep it hydrated during the day to avoid headaches.
Vitamin supplements
Although vitamin supplements are not as good as real fruit and vegetables, if taken with a meal, they greatly increase your daily vitamin and mineral intake and so make you feel more healthy.
Don’t buy Takeout After a night out
The lure of the smell of food is a colossal temptation after an evening on the town. If you give in to temptation, you will not only put on weight but you will also be feeding your body unnecessarily. Say to yourself, “I am hungry because I am tired and not because I need food.”
Sleep is Golden
Sleep is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle and a lack of it can result in a slower metabolic rate as well as causing lapses in concentration. It is advised that a person should have a minimum of 8 hours sleep in any given 24 hour expanse of time. This may prove taxing when combined with the hectic lifestyle of a college student.
