Olive oil is high in antioxidants, vitamin E, B12 and A. For centuries it has been used to cure and treat multiple different aliments including, high cholesterol, heart disease and upset stomachs, but it is often overlooked when it comes to beauty care. Olive oil is a completely natural replacement for many of your beauty products.
Here are a few things to consider using olive oil for during your daily beauty routine:
- Hair conditioning treatment

To try this, take a small amount of olive oil and rub it into your scalp. From there, work it through the ends of your hair, then cover your hair with a plastic bag or towel. Leave the oil on for 15-20 minutes. For added benefits, sit in the sun or use a blow dryer to open the cuticle of your hair, allowing the oil to penetrate deeper into your hair.

You can do this daily or weekly depending on the results you wish to see.
- Skin moisturizer
- Olive oil makes and excellent replacement for lotion. Most lotions contain numerous different chemical and preservatives. Olive oil will moisturize your skin just as well, if not better than these lotions. I only know about Mary Kay. The hand cream is designed to keep working even after washing hands often. Feet aren’t exposed to water as often. That leads to another difference.
