There's a lotion called Lubriderm, and it's for dry skin. You can also get a lotion that says "for dry skin."

Lemon juice is probably the most well known lightener that is both natural and effective, but the acid in lemon juice (if used undiluted or too frequently) can be drying. Another downside to lemon juice is that you have to use it a few times to get noticeable results.

Here's a lemon recipe for hair lightening:
    Lemon Juice Lightener
    1 part lemon juice
    4 parts distilled water
Mix together and rinse your hair with it you shampoo and condition. If you want, you can do the final rinse several times …all you have to do is catch the lemon juice rinse off with a basin. Towel-dry your hair, and you're done. Going out in the sun afterward helps the process along.

If I were you, I'd consider using something less harsh like honey. It works really well. It conditions your hair and releases a mild amount of hydrogen peroxide when diluted to lighten your hair without damaging it.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention lightening hair with henna. To highlight your hair, mix henna powder with an herb like chamomile. Add some boiling water powder to make a thick paste. Let the mixture cool slightly, then comb it into your wet hair. Put a plastic baggie over it and wait between thirty minutes and two hours. You can leave the dye in longer for darker hair. After you're finished, rinse your hair. Be careful though! Henna is potent, so do a test run on a few strands beforehand.
